BATTLE FOR 'SHATRANJ' CROWN

Fig. FIDE World Chess Championship 2024 GM Ding Liren v/s GM Gukesh D |
Indian Chess- Shatranj crown back to India?
Within a week GM Gukesh D and GM Ding Liren will fight for the most coveted title in chess- World Chess Champion 2024 with the title sponsor being Google.
Run upto FIDE 2024 Singapore-
GM Magnus Carlsen gave up his title of the 16th World Chess Champion after defending title for the 5th time against GM Ian Nepomniachtchi- He no longer found motivation to fight for the title, despite being still the best in the world. We might even say he is the GOAT.
Only motivation for him to play was that, if GM Alireza Firouzja wins the Candidates tournament. Unfortunately GM Firouzja didn’t manage to win. Instead GM Nepomniachtchi won again. So he relinquished the throne. Hence GM Ding became the 17th Chess Champion in 2023.
This showcases that you can do the work tremendously well if you find motivation. When does that happen? It is as simple as that when you find meaning in doing so.
Same is the case in any corporate/ govt job/ startup/ exam preparation- it is the meaning that gives the fuel to take action- which inturn provides motivation to do more.
Having a meaning to earn/ serve/ create/ achieve- no matter what it is. You will have a greater purpose which creates desire to take action.
It has to be intrinsic. Definitely cannot be from the outside.
Let’s see whether GM Gukesh is able to bring back the prestigious chess title back to India or not, after legendary GM Vishwanathan Anand.
